DEAR FOLLOWERS!
I have started a new job in the food service industry which means that I cannot paint my nails anymore. This rather kills this blog. That means that I will be on haitus until I have more than a day off of work to have nail polish on, or (more likely) I will start up when I take my semester job on campus. I miss painting my nails more than you know, but I far prefer to have a job and make money. I will return with a vengeance when I can paint my nails again.
Follow us and reblog this photo to win the beauty/nail set that you see in this photo!

tea nails!
I really like tea and I wanted to do something tea inspired.
Doctor who nails take 2. description of nails from thumb to pinky as follows: 11’s jacket/bowtie, dalek, tardis, 11’s screwdriver, fez. The screwdriver looks a but like Loki’s staff to me. This post also includes bonus paper TARDIS that I made today. There is also a doctor, complete with mop/ fez, that I made to go with it.
metallic triangle nails. I got a couple of new metallic colors last week and wanted to try them out. I like the slightly tribal feel of these. Painters tape is your best friend on this one. it keeps the middle triangle nice and clean while you paint the outside color on.
colors used:
Pure ice jaguar
Pure ice silver mercedes
Pure ice magic
Pure ice iced copper
Sinful colors black on black
Watercolor/Impressionist/Jackson Pollock nails
I saw a post about doing water color nails with a ziploc bag so I thought I would try it.
I used white as a base. I then taped my fingers to make cleaning up edges easier. Then I placed globs in various sizes and colors (orange, turquise, and green) on my nail in a vague design. Then I immediately put a ziploc over the nails and lightly applied pressure to smudge them. This had to be done a few times to get the right look. Then I removed the tape, cleaned up the edges, and applied top coat.
By the time I was done they looked very impressionistic period to me, that or something out of a Jackson Pollock painting. Basically the art history buff in me came out and gave them an artistic style period for a name.
Pink and Brown with dots. Simple to do and they look sophisticated yet edgy. I had just pink but it was far too girly for me. I added the brown and dots to make it more me. Colors: Magic and Love by pure ice
Pink base with silver lines and turquoise dots. I like this design a lot. I got to use my new dotting tool and detailer brush too!!! For those wondering the dotting tool/brush are the orly brand ones. I got them for pretty cheap (6 bucks) at a wholesale beauty supply store.
Nude nails with black and white brushstrokes. I was trying for birch tree nails but ended up with this. I like it more. To get the smudgy effect apply top coat while the lines are still well. Black will blend really well. Also I got to use my new sunglasses as display so yay!!!
